outfit of the week #95
so apparently i can't live without internet for any length of time. for the last couple of weeks we've been moving house and currently have no wifi (it's coming Tuesday we hope) and i've been absolutely desperate to log on and get an internet fix so i'm currently propped up in a local cafe stealing their internet for an hour to two. It's amazing how not being active on the blog/instagram/twitter leaves you feeling a little lost and it has a massive impact on the unfollows, which makes me sad.
any way while feeling very hipster sat by the window with my flat white, blogging, i bring you another outfit post. its been a while and its not the most exciting of outfits but it's a necessary casual look and a staple of mine during the transition between winter to spring. hope you like it and all being well i'll be back with another outfit on Wednesday (Come on BT deliver me the wifi).

coat - new look // jeans - primark // jumper - c/o blue vanilla * // bag - primark // trainers - c/o krisp clothing *
i really do love these little hi tops, although not loving the mud stains on the toes already, the perils of bright white trainers eh! so with the new move has meant a new blog photo background, luckily we have an amazing church right opposite us now so plenty of opportunity for some fab backgrounds, stay tuned for more.
thanks

A style journey....
So its New Years Eve which meant taking a trip back through old blog posts. Its very awkward looking back over this blog and anything before January this year is a bit of a write off in my eyes. I really think i started to properly blog in January 2014 mainly because i braved the elements and got over my fear of not only the husband taking my photos but taking them in public too. I still get annoyed at people watching me but my outfit posts are better for it.
January, February and March saw me mixing up the prints and dropping in a flash of colour here and there. The first picture was my very first outside photoshoot for the blog and i was so pleased to finally get decent full length photos of my outfit. I tried to mix up the location of my pictures in the second picture but in the end opted for the brick wall, seen in the third picture, for the majority of my photos throughout 2014 and its still a favourite background of mine.
March, April and May saw me breaking out a lot of pastel colours in my outfits and mastering the 'looking at the floor' blogger pose. This section of the year also saw me working with a lot of brands, which I am so grateful for. Obviously i don't blog just to be sent clothes but its certainly an incentive to keep evolving and making my blog better.
May, June and July meant the weather was getting warmer and the arms and legs gradually began to appear. I also got hair extensions making me feel like Rapunzel for a few months. The last outfit was a popular one with Look magazine tweeting it as their 'look of the day'
The sun was shining and the blogging juices were flowing in July, August and September. All three of these outfits are particular favs of the year. The first image saw me lucky enough to work with French Connection and also a new found love for the denim jacket. The second image was regrammed by boohoo on instagram, making my insta account go crazy and i gained about 300 new followers in the space of an hour. The third outfit was featured on Asos Fashion Finder home page, which i had been hoping to achieve at some point this year.
In September and October i tried to mix up the locations a bit, i particularly like the autumnal feel to the last picture. The autumnal layers started to re-surface with my fav denim and leather jackets making a return. The crossed leg pose also came into its own during the latter part of 2014.
October and November saw me go from glam to boho to cosy all in at the space of a few weeks. The hair was chopped off and my obsession with tartan and checks really began to blossom. My old favourite the brick wall also made a welcome return to my photos.
So December brought us a fairly mild couple of weeks but oversized and cozy was still the way to go outfit wise. As you can see checks are well and truly my style choice of 2014 with this trend featuring in almost all of my posts during November and December and quite possibly January 2015 too.
2014 has been a pretty amazing year for me, i got engaged in January, promoted in April, graduated in September and Married in November... how is 2015 ever going to compete with that? In terms of my blog i have loved my year of outdoor location shots and am so pleased that the husband is happy to be my personal photographer. I think my blog has really evolved this year and intend to continue into 2015 with my new improved layout (what do ya think?) and experiment more with photo quality and various locations. Thanks to all my regular readers and their comments, thats why I blog, seeya next year.

Outfit of the week #79

Jumper - c/o Chicnova * // Pinafore - Primark // Denim shirt - H&M // Bag - Primark // Boots - George@Asda
Grid prints and checks forever!! Still can't get enough and I'm so glad tartan is back again this winter, i brought the cutest pleated tartan skirt in H&M for £7 in the sale yesterday, can't wait to pair it with a chunky knit and these boots. Layering is my friend with it comes to this pinafore as i just can't find a coat that goes with it.. so on goes the shirt underneath jumper underneath dress combo and all cosy. Loving an across the body bag at the moment i just wish the dress had some side pockets as i always seem to have a 'where do I put my hands' problem when I'm not carrying a bag, eek! Enjoy!
Thanks

Outfit of the week #74

Coat - c/o Krisp Clothing * // Top - George@Asda // Jeans - Primark // Boots - Matalan // Bag - Primark
Hello Winter... cannot believe the summer is finally gone it makes me very sad. But I' am very happy to be able to wear this lovely parka coat. I don't always choose the most practical winter coat as i'm such a sucker for a fashionable one so I'm excited to actually have a padded, warm coat that has a hood, bring on the snow... and for under £40 you can't complain really. I'm a big fan of this Primark bag, its such a cute shape and I love the studded detail too.
Thanks

Hybrid fashion

Dress - c/o Hybrid * // Shoes - fashion union // Clutch - eBay
Check me out in a nice posh dress. Isn't it gorgeous? A lovely vibrant magenta colour, it fits like a glove and the structured shoulders and pleats make it so flattering. I feel amazing in it but have nowhere to wear it... someone needs to invite me to a wedding or a posh ball or something! Hybrid have fantastic dresses on their site, they're expensive but I can truly say they are quality dresses for that posh event you might have.
Thanks

Outfit of the week #73

Jacket - c/o Quiz * // Tshirt - Asos (old) // Jeans - Primark // Shoes - Topshop (old) // Bag - Primark
Hello again, I think Autumn is definitely upon us now, it is certainly feeling colder and I think the scarfs and winter hats will need to come out very soon. Lukily the last week has been fairly mild so I was able to style up this gorgeous lace jacket without it being hidden by a coat. I love this jacket, its such a great length and considering I'm not really keen on black lace on clothing I think this is going to become a firm favourite. Also loving this cute little square bag from Primark. again its a fab size although the shape does mean my long purse doesn't actually fit in it! These leopard print Topshop slipper shoes are so old and practically falling apart but I can't bare to part with them, we all have a pair of shoes like that right?
Now were into October, the boy and I are officially getting married next month! So surreal... everyone keeps asking if we're getting nervous but it still doesn't feel like its going to happen, even though it really has to now. People also assume that we're going to be all stressed out and crazed but I haven't had any part of it seem overly stressful... so far! The guest list was the only minor difficult part but really not that bad. I expect the next 4 weeks will be crazy and certainly the week leading up to the big day will be manic and neve wracking but the whole experience seems to have been fairly plain sailing compared to others, lets hope it stays that way. Would love to here your wedding issues, worries, stresses, comment below!
Thanks

Autumn styling
Jacket - Zara // Dress - H&M // Bag - Primark // Boots - Matalan (old)
So its definitely autumn now right? Even when the sun is shining its rather chilly so... the boots are out, the tights are on and the jackets firmly have their place in the wardrobe. I'm still holding onto summer dresses for a little longer though and brought this cute smock one from H&M last weekend, it looks great with tights so is a great transitional piece. the only trouble is its a very light fabric so just the slightest breeze causes all sorts of mishaps. Can't wait to go A/W shopping this weekend, looking to get some nice jumpers and perhaps a smart camel coat. Also looking for a Mother of the Bride outfit for my Mum... Can't believe the wedding is only 6 weeks away now....
Thanks

Outfit of the week #69
Jacket - New Look // Dress - New Look // Clutch - Ebay // Shoes - Deichmann // Necklace - Miss Selfridge
So last night was fun! My work had a big 10 years of opening celebration so the fizz was flowing, the music was pumping and now my legs are aching and my toes are blistered... damn you peep toe shoes. It was a fabulous night and I even won an award for the 'best role model'. This is what I wore, after many a shopping trip trying to find a nice dress I ended up wearing an old one. Nice dresses are nowhere to be found at the moment because the shops are all about the winter woolies and coats. I was happy with this ensemble though as i'm loving this jacket so much and I think the gold statement necklace looks great with the lime shift dress. The only trouble with this dress is it is quite short and i'm pretty sure I flashed my knickers.. a lot... when pulling my moves on the dance floor. This week is full of celebrations, I graduate on Thursday.... oooo exciting! I have two potential outfits... quick question to those who have already graduated.... is it best to wear a high front dress rather then a low one so you can safety pin the gown thingy to your dress?
thanks

Outfit of the week #68
Jacket - New Look // Everything else is Primark (tehe)!
A very causal outfit today but I couldn't wait to get this lovely monochrome duster coat into some outfit shots. I wore this get up yesterday for a very exciting day of nothing... literally I was sitting on the sofa all day until I went to the supermarket, food shopping in the evening...what fun weekends I have. Actually tomorrow may be more exciting.. we're heading out to buy wedding bits and bobs such as crafty bits and possibly the rings too, fun fun!! This bag has also not really left my side since I brought it last saturday, I just love the colour and the size and it goes great with this monochrome look.
Hope you like, let me know in the usual way down below.
Thanks
