Outfit of the week #20

Hi friends, I'm too excited that its a bank holiday weekend and I'm loving life because of it. My weekend started with an impromptu trip to the local pub on Friday evening. Too many wines were consumed resulting in a very fuzzy Saturday which was cured with fresh air and hash browns, yumminess! This gorgeous monochrome dress was my choice of attire for the said trip to the local. Worn with my favourite neon Zara bag and my amazing cut out buckle boots from Matalan. I bloody love this dress from persunmall, it looks kinda causal due to the t-shirt style neckline but the material makes it seem more of a dressy dress too (does that make sense)? It is quite short but that also means it can be worn with leggings or skinnies or even tucked in and worn as a top with some high waisters. Monochrome is always big in the fashion world and it looks perf with a scatter of neon accessories.

So much love for these boots I can't even explain, and you know how much I love my Zara bag as its in nearly every outfit post! Someone did comment on this outfit saying I looked quite 80s! I'm not sure I look 80s but I am sure I love this outfit.

Now I'm off to enjoy the rest of my long weekend, heading out again tonight to meet some old school chums and then heading to a beer and cider festival tomorrow for music and dancing and right now I've persuaded the boyf to take me shopping!! Hope you're all enjoying your weekends, let me know if you like my outfit, comment , tweet or pop on over to my instagram (direct links below).

Thanks

Outfit of the week #19

Howdy readers, another week another outfit to show you all! I haven't actually worn this one yet but can't wait to try. The print on this lovely shirt is quite spectacular, its kind of snakeskin/cobweb/ watercolour effect and the colour combo is lovely. I love the contrasting black collar and button line down the front and its the perfect sheerness to not wear a vest underneath (no getting hot and sticky here, thanks). I'm wearing it with some little leather look shorts from eBay. I've wanted a pair for ages but wasn't keen on them being too short or too tight so I took a chance and ordered a black pair and red pair for a fiver each and they're great. They're short but not tight and they have an elasticated waist, yay! Hello again gorgeous Zara messenger bag and welcome to my new amazing chunky cut out buckle boots.

How gorgeous are these boots from Matalan? I was lucky enough to nab them for £10 in an online offer. They're very similar to the ones on a recent wishlist of mine so I'm extremely happy to have found a similar pair for a much better price (ever the bargain hunter). I wore them out this week to mine and the boyf's anniversary and I have to say they are incredibly comfortable albeit quite sweaty,  euww!
Hope you like this outfit, let me know in the comments section and you can tweet me too.

Outfit of the week #14

Ok so this week at work dragged on and on and on, it may well have been my longest feeling week at work EVER (and I've been there 7 years) and for no apparent reason. I think the prospect of the incredibly hot weekend left me feeling too excited and my anticipation of finally wearing shorts and summer dresses was just too much for me. I have literally been planning outfits in my head all week (cause that's how fashion bloggers role am I right?). I haven't even really done anything that interesting this weekend. I had lunch with the girls and wore the outfit in this 'outfit of the week'. Luke and I had a BBQ for two on Saturday evening and then carried on our 'Game of Thrones' obsession. On Sunday I wrote my staff appraisals in the sun wearing shorts and crop top (yep I succumbed and wore a crop top). And this evening we will be heading to Luke's Aunties for tea and Birthday cake and hopefully celebrating a Wimbledon win!!!

So as I said I wore this casual look to a friends for spot of lunch in the garden. We may have eaten loads and we may have all caught the sun a little bit too much. Word of advice don't cross your legs for too long in the sun this equals one burnt knee and also if you're thinking of getting a fringe please wait until at least September. Sun + heavy fringe = sweaty mess!!

                         Dress - H&M (old) // Denim vest - New Look (was a Jacket) // Belt - c/o Matalan * // Bag - Zara // Sandals - Primark
                                                                               Sunglasses - Primark // Rings - Primark

I wear this DIYed denim vest over pretty much all my summer dresses. (It was a Jacket, I hacked off the sleeves and added some studs) I think it instantly adds a bit of character and makes me feel a little more covered up and confident. This little summer dress was from H&M last year I think quite a few bloggers snapped it up at the time as it was only £7. Its so versatile and can be styled so many ways, definitely a fav.
I finally got my paws on one of the gorgeous Zara messenger bags. I definitely knew I wanted the yellow one and was pleased to see one left when I went on a little big shopping spree last weekend. I had also been lusting over these cute sandals that I have seen popping up on instagram pictures quite a lot, so cute! My sunglasses are part of said shopping spree too. Their a Primark bargain and are an adorable 50s vintagey kinda style.

Right I'm off to cool down in Tesco's doing the weekly shop, do let me know it you like the outfit! And check my instagram for more pics on this weekends outfits and frivolities.

Thanks
