outfit of the week #94

as much as we all like to dress up in heels and dresses you really can't beat a good old jeans and ankle boots combo. . . heck you can always jazz it up with a statement necklace and a neon bag! what makes this outfit all the more amazing is these boots are a mere £5, hidden fashion is a fabulous place full of £5 wonders that are honestly good quality, these little babies are not only gorgeous but fleece lined i tells ya, cosy! i seriously don't know what i did when i didn't own this denim jacket. i love all of its oversized goodness and if i ever have an outfit where i'm just not sure what coat looks best, this denim jacket always pulls through for me. p.s it windy when we took these photos.

Autumn styling

Jacket - Zara  //  Dress - H&M  //  Bag - Primark  //  Boots - Matalan (old)

So its definitely autumn now right? Even when the sun is shining its rather chilly so... the boots are out, the tights are on and the jackets firmly have their place in the wardrobe. I'm still holding onto summer dresses for a little longer though and brought this cute smock one from H&M last weekend, it looks great with tights so is a great transitional piece. the only trouble is its a very light fabric so just the slightest breeze causes all sorts of mishaps. Can't wait to go A/W shopping this weekend, looking to get some nice jumpers and perhaps a smart camel coat. Also looking for a Mother of the Bride outfit for my Mum... Can't believe the wedding is only 6 weeks away now....

Outfit of the week #1

I've decided to start a weekly post for you guys as I feel my blog can be somewhat sporadic (love that word) and random at times so I hope having a regular feature will focus my thoughts and ideas. 

I've decided this feature will be an 'Outfit of the week' which is essentially what it says on the tin title! 

These favourite outfits will be a mixture of casual uni outfits, things I have worn on nights out, restaurant meals or even a trip to Tesco's. 

My first 'outfit of the week' is something I wore last Sunday to my local for St Patrick's day drinks! As you can see I scraped my hair back as it wasn't playing ball and applied some red lippy for the occasion.

I tried to add a little green for St Paddys but it was a very subtle metallic mint green, I was also wearing my new favourite ankle boots from New look, their so comfy and pretty much go with everything! They look fab with jeans and a tee and I know brown and black aren't generally supposed to go together but in this case it worked (I think)?
