Jacket - Zara  //  Dress - H&M  //  Bag - Primark  //  Boots - Matalan (old)

So its definitely autumn now right? Even when the sun is shining its rather chilly so... the boots are out, the tights are on and the jackets firmly have their place in the wardrobe. I'm still holding onto summer dresses for a little longer though and brought this cute smock one from H&M last weekend, it looks great with tights so is a great transitional piece. the only trouble is its a very light fabric so just the slightest breeze causes all sorts of mishaps. Can't wait to go A/W shopping this weekend, looking to get some nice jumpers and perhaps a smart camel coat. Also looking for a Mother of the Bride outfit for my Mum... Can't believe the wedding is only 6 weeks away now....
Thanks

Antler necklace

Its another smock dress outfit from me today and I'm not even sorry (and I may have ordered another cheeky floral smock from ASOS on Friday, oh no!). I just love them. This time I'm added a furry gillet, which I feel slightly ostrich like in, and my gorgeous antler necklace that the boy (fiancé) got me for christmas. Its a simple outfit but one of my favs at the moment. I've also got straight hair for once... this rarely happens...

Dress - missi clothing via ebay  //  gillet - ebay  //  necklace - notonthehighstreet  //  boots - George@asda //  Rings - H&M

I love that I can add a cute statement necklace to this plain smock dress and it really stands out. The gillet is a real statement piece and is great added as a cover up to most outfits. I wear it over my coat as well just to give it a different kinda look.

Hope you like it.
Thanks

Smocky the smock!

Its been one exciting weekend and start to the week I can tell ya! If you don't already know from following my Instagram the boy and I got engaged on friday evening. He surprised me with a gorgeous bouquet of flowers some sparkling wine and after chomping down on an excellent steak and chips dinner he got down on one knee (or maybe two, we can't remember). We have been talking about marriage and weddings lately but I never believed it would actually happen... without my general intervening and coaxing anyway! So I was very happy and delighted to break the news to family and friends at the weekend.

Having been together for 11 years we feel no need for a long engagement and are hoping to have the wedding this year so planning is in full swing already, with decisions being discussed, magazines being flicked through and we're even visiting our first potential venue on Sunday, how exciting!

Dress - c/o sammydress *  //  Scarf (won in a giveaway)  //  Jacket - Primark  //  Bag - bangomango  //  Boots - George @ Asda  //  Necklace - notonthehighstreet  //  Rings - various from H&M and Primark

A little late to the party but I officially love smock dresses. I still feel slightly like I'm wearing maternity wear but the cute factor wins and I want to wear one forever. This gorgeous one is from sammydress and I must admit I was a bit sceptical about the service and quality from this brand but... I received my dress very quickly, with no problems and the dress is perfect. The print is gorgeous and has a very cute girly lining, which you can spy along the bottom of the dress. It has long sleeves that can be pinned back to quarter length if needed and the dress is the perfect thickness for the colder weather in A/W. I've had so many compliments when I wear it so I definitely recommend.

Right back to wedding researching and if any of you have any tips or tricks to organising a wedding do let me know.
Thanks

Outfit of the week #23

So who said it could be the middle of September huh! NB. We have a mere 14 Saturdays until Christmas, OMGEEEEE! Well I don't know about you but I'm still holding onto the dregs of summer or at least some form of sunshine in my life. Sadly its only my wardrobe holding onto this notion (oh hi loadsa rain). Any whoo my outfit this week is a darling smock dress from Choies. I love the paisley print and its nice baggy fit. Luckily its a dress that will look good with some opaque tights so I can wear it easily in the A/W months ahead.

Dress - c/o Choies* (sorry out of stock)  //  Belt - c/o Matalan*  //  Bag - c/o Soinfashion*  //  Shoes - Matalan  //  Cuff - H&M  //
Rings -  (green square amber ring) c/o Henryka*,  (square rings) H&M,  (turquoise ring) Vintage

I wore this out last night to watch some bands in the pub! The boy was being the sound techy guy and guest playing in one of the bands, so I was a bit of a loner again. But its all good because I was wearing my new favourite dress! I love the shape and style of smock dresses and would hazard a guess that I'll have a couple more added to the drobe soon. The only downside to this dress is it gets sooooo static, to the point of pure annoyance but I can live with that for fashion's sake! I can't decide whether I like it with the belt or without the belt so opinions please.

And also I've been trying to change/improve my outfit photos a bit, I really want to get some full length shots involved so have been experimenting. I would love your thoughts on that too, so if you like these pics then let me know or if you prefer how I did them in previous posts then tell me in the comments section or tweet me on @lazy2lovely, much appreciated.

P.S. Don't forget to enter my 1000 follower give-away to be in with a chance of winning a massive prize of £40 Topshop vouchers (who doesn't want that, huh)?

Thanks
