outfit of the week #101
i've always been a fan of the jumpsuit, there's something very put together and sleek about a nicely cut jumpsuit. i'm also a biiiiig fan of the pinafore/dungaree look so this one i found in the asos sale, recently dropped from £50 to £20, went straight into my basket (regardless of my trying not to buy too many clothes rule). the grey crop underneath is attached to the jumpsuit, which I love and I think layering a long necklace over the top really sets off the whole look.

i wore this out last night to a friends birthday meal and felt so great in it. it's loosely cut so room for lots of burgers and wine. although not too much as you can spy the sneaky muffin top/back fat in this outfit. i dug out my old favs the boyfriend denim jacket and the cobalt blue shoes for this look, i haven't wore them in a while but they never fail to spice up my style.
p.s. it was very windy while taking these pics so please excuse the hair !
thanks

the wide leg trouser
when skinnies came into fashion I was like 'noooo way' and now thats all I ever wear... wide legs, boot cuts and flares seem to be making an appearance again and i'm yet to fully commit but i fell in love with these wide leg sporty trousers when i saw a couple of bloggers wearing them on instagram. I luckily found them in the sale for £9.99 so thought i'd give them ago. I love the shape they create due to the length and how they hang. They are really long so only heels will do or i'd be face down, tripping over all night. I wore this out recently to a gig and the husband commented that it was quite a different look for me but he did approve.
jacket - asos // vest - new look // trousers - zara // bag - eBay // necklace - c/o mink & stone *
check out my amazing custom made 'lazytolovely' necklace designed by yours truly. the lovelies behind mink & stone allowed me to design my very own necklace and then only went ahead and made it for me didn't they? i designed this long rope necklace (i doubled it up for this outfit) by making an account via mink & stone and then proceeded to design a couple of necklaces using the variety of beads and designs they have available. its very exciting designing you own piece and the fact that i could make a custom designed necklace relating to this blog was even more special. i absolutely love it, thank you mink & stone. go and make your own necklace or bracelet too.
Thanks

outfit of the week #95
so apparently i can't live without internet for any length of time. for the last couple of weeks we've been moving house and currently have no wifi (it's coming Tuesday we hope) and i've been absolutely desperate to log on and get an internet fix so i'm currently propped up in a local cafe stealing their internet for an hour to two. It's amazing how not being active on the blog/instagram/twitter leaves you feeling a little lost and it has a massive impact on the unfollows, which makes me sad.
any way while feeling very hipster sat by the window with my flat white, blogging, i bring you another outfit post. its been a while and its not the most exciting of outfits but it's a necessary casual look and a staple of mine during the transition between winter to spring. hope you like it and all being well i'll be back with another outfit on Wednesday (Come on BT deliver me the wifi).
coat - new look // jeans - primark // jumper - c/o blue vanilla * // bag - primark // trainers - c/o krisp clothing *
i really do love these little hi tops, although not loving the mud stains on the toes already, the perils of bright white trainers eh! so with the new move has meant a new blog photo background, luckily we have an amazing church right opposite us now so plenty of opportunity for some fab backgrounds, stay tuned for more.
thanks

Outfit of the week #88
scarf - primark // coat - f&f at tesco (old) // jeans - primark // boots - george@asda
this crazy cold weather has got me covered from head to toe this week, literally my face and hands are the only skin on show in these pictures and if it was possible for a balaclava to look chic it would have been worn. the only reason i'm not wearing a bobble hat is because i actually liked my hair this weekend... i've been hating on my hair for a couple of weeks, it needs a trim and this weather has been making it all frizzy, dry and static so I booked me an appointment for next week and guess what, the hair decides to play ball and has actually looked decent all weekend, typical. i can't express my love for cobalt blue and houndstooth, such a great combo. hope you like.
thanks

A style journey....
So its New Years Eve which meant taking a trip back through old blog posts. Its very awkward looking back over this blog and anything before January this year is a bit of a write off in my eyes. I really think i started to properly blog in January 2014 mainly because i braved the elements and got over my fear of not only the husband taking my photos but taking them in public too. I still get annoyed at people watching me but my outfit posts are better for it.
January, February and March saw me mixing up the prints and dropping in a flash of colour here and there. The first picture was my very first outside photoshoot for the blog and i was so pleased to finally get decent full length photos of my outfit. I tried to mix up the location of my pictures in the second picture but in the end opted for the brick wall, seen in the third picture, for the majority of my photos throughout 2014 and its still a favourite background of mine.
March, April and May saw me breaking out a lot of pastel colours in my outfits and mastering the 'looking at the floor' blogger pose. This section of the year also saw me working with a lot of brands, which I am so grateful for. Obviously i don't blog just to be sent clothes but its certainly an incentive to keep evolving and making my blog better.
May, June and July meant the weather was getting warmer and the arms and legs gradually began to appear. I also got hair extensions making me feel like Rapunzel for a few months. The last outfit was a popular one with Look magazine tweeting it as their 'look of the day'
The sun was shining and the blogging juices were flowing in July, August and September. All three of these outfits are particular favs of the year. The first image saw me lucky enough to work with French Connection and also a new found love for the denim jacket. The second image was regrammed by boohoo on instagram, making my insta account go crazy and i gained about 300 new followers in the space of an hour. The third outfit was featured on Asos Fashion Finder home page, which i had been hoping to achieve at some point this year.
In September and October i tried to mix up the locations a bit, i particularly like the autumnal feel to the last picture. The autumnal layers started to re-surface with my fav denim and leather jackets making a return. The crossed leg pose also came into its own during the latter part of 2014.
October and November saw me go from glam to boho to cosy all in at the space of a few weeks. The hair was chopped off and my obsession with tartan and checks really began to blossom. My old favourite the brick wall also made a welcome return to my photos.
So December brought us a fairly mild couple of weeks but oversized and cozy was still the way to go outfit wise. As you can see checks are well and truly my style choice of 2014 with this trend featuring in almost all of my posts during November and December and quite possibly January 2015 too.
2014 has been a pretty amazing year for me, i got engaged in January, promoted in April, graduated in September and Married in November... how is 2015 ever going to compete with that? In terms of my blog i have loved my year of outdoor location shots and am so pleased that the husband is happy to be my personal photographer. I think my blog has really evolved this year and intend to continue into 2015 with my new improved layout (what do ya think?) and experiment more with photo quality and various locations. Thanks to all my regular readers and their comments, thats why I blog, seeya next year.

Outfit of the week #84
jumper - primark // skirt - c/o Sugarhillboutique * // shoes - ? // bag - primark // necklace - notonthehighstreet (old)
This is a little outfit i wore over the festive period. We went to see family on boxing day and i really wanted to wear this gorgeous skirt that etailpr sent me from sugarhillboutique, its such a cute print, a little glitzy and kinda reminds me of christmas trees. I wasn't brave enough for a bare leg so opted to wear with tights, which i usually hate with a midi but am pleasantly surprised. I think the black jumper and black tights work well together and the festive burgundy shoes and bag really make the outfit stand out. Check out my cute antler necklace too (present from the husband last year). So Christmas is over again, hope you've had a great time and now for the lead up to New Year. Have any of you braved the sales yet? We're attempting it today but i tend to ignore the sale rails and go for the nice, neat new arrivals, i can't be bothered with all the sales faffing around.
Thanks

The oversized jumper!
Jumper - Primark // Trousers - Red Herring at Debenhams (similar here) // Boots - c/o Barratts * (old) // Bag - Primark
Sometimes you get an item of clothing that you just can't wait to wear with everything, this is that item of clothing. The oversized jumper and generally oversized clothing, is hot right now and my guess is you're gonna be sick of seeing this jumper in my outfit posts this winter. Also a big fan of tartan again, in my last post I rocked the tartan scarf and now its all about these amazing trousers. Such a gorgeous dark, subtle tartan. Got these boots last winter and wore them to death so it only seems appropriate to wear them again... everyday.

Autumn kimono...
Kimono - Primark // Tshirt - Primark // Trousers - H&M // Boots - New Look (old) // Bag - Primark (old) // Necklace - Claires Accessories
So how much do I love this kimono jacket... ummm tooooo much. I love the print, I love the colours and I love that it only cost me £3 in a Primark sale. Yep I'm very aware that I'm basically wearing the same outfit as my last post but have changed my jacket and shoes, but you just can't go wrong with black tee and jeans. I feel quite seventies when I swoosh along in my longline kimono, love it. hope you enjoy it too.

Outfit of the week #74
Coat - c/o Krisp Clothing * // Top - George@Asda // Jeans - Primark // Boots - Matalan // Bag - Primark
Hello Winter... cannot believe the summer is finally gone it makes me very sad. But I' am very happy to be able to wear this lovely parka coat. I don't always choose the most practical winter coat as i'm such a sucker for a fashionable one so I'm excited to actually have a padded, warm coat that has a hood, bring on the snow... and for under £40 you can't complain really. I'm a big fan of this Primark bag, its such a cute shape and I love the studded detail too.
Thanks
