A lazy but lovely christmas....

I'm not usually one to do Instagram posts but I wanted to do a bit of a christmassy post and thought the best way was through my Instagram happenings over the festive period.
Contrary to this posts title we had a very busy Christmas. I cooked my first Christmas dinner for my Mum, Stepdad and Luke (and very nice it was to if I do say so myself). We had eight people squished into our flat for a christmas day tea in the evening. On boxing day we saw the boys family for a second 'xmas day'. We saw more family on Friday and have another family gathering this afternoon annnnndddd we have a French themed party tomorrow evening, phew!

So heres a little taster of the last few days in the lazy2lovely household.

Outfit of the week #6

Another week has gone and its back to my outfit of the week post! I'm coming up to the end of my second year at uni so my posts are a bit sporadic and boring of late so sorry about that I should be back on it by June so stick with me!

My outfit this week is something I wore out for a meal last night with friends, we went to a great Pub/Restaurant called The Sausage tree that sells crazy meats like Zebra, Crocodile and kangaroo. I had a springbok sausage and Luke went all out and had steak and camel (ewwwww) which he cooked himself on a hot stone. Here's what I wore......
polka dot shift dress photo IMG_5538_zps8b9910b9.jpg photo IMG_5528_zpsa3be103e.jpg
Wicker clutch photo IMG_5536_zps030cff79.jpgFU shoes photo IMG_5527_zps38794c94.jpg
Dress and belt - Primark / Blazer - eBay / Wicker clutch - H&M (old) Similar here / Watch - M&Co / Shoes - Fashion Union

So I decided to rock a lot of polka dots for the occasion! I love this shift dress from Primark but I have to add a belt as its slightly to long for my height without one. The bag is an oldie but is great for adding a punch of colour to an otherwise monochrome outfit. Now I am lying about the shoes. My intention was to wear these beauties from Fashion Union that Luke got me for my birthday but I wasn't brave enough and ended up wearing black tights, which just didn't look good with these gorgeous, delicate strappy sandals.
I've got a wedding reception next weekend so hopefully I will be able to give them their first outing then.
I actually wore my hair very long and straight to the meal as I just didn't like it as it is in the pictures. I don't usually have straight hair because I like a bit of volume but now I have a fringe the straight hair look doesn't look to bad, check out instagram to see how my hair was on the night.

Don't forget to enter my giveaway, you'll be in with a chance of winning some spring/summer clothing so go forth and enter until your hearts content.

Outfit of the week #4

So it was my birthday on Tuesday and although I would rather forget it (I'm 21 again honest) Myself and the boy did manage to get out and celebrate with a fabulous meal at Prezzo. I do believe I should be Italian, love olives, love wine, love pizza, love pasta.......

So my outfit of the week post is what I wore to Prezzo and it has to be one of my fav outfits at the moment! I'm still a big midi dress fan and I think this Primark one looks great with my eBay bargain leather jacket. I seem to be wearing this necklace loads lately and the clutch bag is an oldie but its my 'go to' bag if I'm not sure which of my many bags to use. The shoes were a bargainous five pounds, I usually wear them with jeans but liked the whole look I achieved here with the midi dress and leather. Oh and look I'm wearing my trusty Kate Moss 107 Matte effect!

Jacket - Ebay / midi dress - Primark (similar here) / Necklace, earrings and ring - H&M / Shoes - bangomango / Bag - Tesco (old) / Lippy - Kate Moss Matte effect 107

The meal was gorgeous we started off with the antipasti platter, yum! We both had calzones and salad for main and finished off with a creamy latte, perfection!

I did pretty well for birthday presents this year, Luke was very clever and checked out a previous wishlist post for some gorgeous shoes (I'm sure you'll be seeing these on an outfit post very soon). My Mummy got me some shoes, benefit make up and a cute necklace. And I got a lovely giraffe jumper and giraffe canvas wall picture from Luke's Mummy and Aunty (btw I love giraffes). And of course lots of lovely bath stuff and a couple of lush products too...oh and some champers, yay!

Check out my instagram for pics of my pressie's, meal at Prezzo's and much more.

Outfit of the week #3

Leather jackets photo IMG_5408_zps9d805e14.jpg
My outfit of the week is something I wore last night to a work colleagues hen do! I decided to be a very good fashion blogger and not buy anything new for the occassion (well done me).
This little outfit is very much a boohoo affair! Both the clutch and the dress are old purchases from way back when the amazing fashion website wasn't so popular. The dress I brought before I moved in with Luke so its well over three years old but how current does it look, bodycon, monochrome stripes with sheer panelling, perfection!! The clutch is about a year old and satisfied my neon obsession along with my new neon stackable rings form Primark and neon lips. My pleather jacket with embellished shoulder detail is a fantastic eBay find from a few months ago, so sorry couldn't find the link anywhere. All tied together with a simple pair of New Look black wedges. Hope you like!

Jacket - eBay (similar here) / Dress - Boohoo (similar here) / Skull Clutch - Boohoo (similar here) / Rings - Primark / Shoes - New Look (similar here) / Lips - Rimmel Apocolips (Apocalyptic) / Blotchy legs - all mine!

We all had such a fab night, starting off at the bride to be's house for drinks, nibbles and special guest who lets just say didn't like wearing clothes (wink wink nudge nudge). We then all hopped aboard a pink hummer limo for the hour trek into Milton Keynes for a night of dancing and drunken debauchery.

I have a fun week ahead of me. On Tuesday I have a uni interview to see if they'll allow me to carry on and get my BA in Early years, I also have to decide if I want to do extra training alongside this and become an Eary Years Teacher (eruuughhhhh more essays)!
Its also my birthday on Tuesday, yay for presents but nay to another year older (booooo!!!) Where is all the time going, can't believe I'm going to be 27, major sad face? So I'm sure I'll be featuring some birthday presents on here with you at some point next week, I also have a lovely Aztec skater dress to show you (previously featured in this wishlist post) and of course my outfit of the week post next Sunday.
So stayed tuned folks!

Thanks

Outfit of the week #2

Hello all, hope everyone's enjoying their Easter weekend and gorging on as many chocolate eggs as you physically can. I'm posting my outfit of the week today as I won't be around tomorrow to do it! I hope you enjoy, it's a combination of five of my favourite pieces right now. The Bowie inspired outfit is after I spent Friday night on my own (boyf was gigging) watching David Bowie documentaries and eating Easter eggs, heaven!

The whole of this outfit is pretty much new apart from the shoes which are my faithful 'go with everything' heels.
In my lunch hour at uni a couple of weeks ago I popped into Primark (I went out to get a folder, bad Kylie) and came out with an entire outfit. I'm going through a bit of a rock chick, band tee shirt phase (again) and have myself a little collection of Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath and now Bowie tees, I love dressing them up with heels, blazer and a clutch bag. Now the leather look trousers I've had my eye on for a while and they happened to be in the sale so I was very happy to be paying £6 instead of £13... or so I thought! When I went to pay the cashier looked very confused and re-priced the trousers. She looked at me and said 'did you know the trousers are £2 now?' Whaaaaattttttt! Bargain of the year I think! Of course I had to round off my Primark shopping trip with a piece of jewellery so went for this gold look necklace with five clear stone detail. I love the snake like chain and its subtle hint of of bling. If you follow me on instagram you would have already seen me gushing about my new ebay bag, isn't it gorge? Still loving studs and I like the mix of textures along with the gold zip detailing.

Hope you liked my second 'outfit of the week'? I'm sure you'll be seeing the bag in many a outfit post in the future and the necklace is now a firm favourite too. Enjoy the rest of your easter break and don't forget to comment, I absolutely love reading them. Any specific questions then tweet me @lazy2lovely
